We are a third-generation family business specializing in handmade rugs, tribal carpets, vintage kilims, and natural-dyed textiles sourced from the heart of South Asia. Rooted in tradition and driven by purpose, our mission is to preserve the rich cultural artistry of rug weaving while bringing timeless pieces to modern homes around the world.
Our journey officially began in 2021, when Yunus Ersari, the founder and third-generation rug trader, turned his lifelong exposure to rugs into a professional venture. Born into a carpet-making family, Yunus spent his early years immersed in the rug business, helping his father after school and absorbing the skills and heritage passed down through generations. He represents the proud continuation of a legacy that began with his grandfather, Jora Ersari — a renowned tribal rug artisan and the visionary behind Ersari & Khiwa Rugs, both respected names in the world of Afghan rugs and Central Asian textiles.

From a small family business in Afghanistan and Pakistan to an internationally recognized name, Kalash Heritage has grown with integrity and purpose. Today, we serve clients across the USA, UK, Europe, and Asia, providing both retail and wholesale solutions for premium handmade carpets.
Due to increasing challenges in cross-border logistics, especially for carpet exports from Afghanistan to Pakistan, we built our own infrastructure to overcome the barriers. We established our headquarters in the Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA) under Kalash Heritage Trading FZCO, a UAE-based company that now acts as a regional hub for Afghan and Pakistani rug manufacturers. This allows us to export high-quality rugs worldwide with speed, reliability, and complete control.
We also operate a full logistics chain that includes global shipping partners like DHL, FedEx, and PakAsia, along with our own freight solutions. Many artisans and manufacturers from Afghanistan now ship their rugs through our channel to reach global markets, making Kalash Heritage a bridge between remote weavers and international buyers.
